CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City School District’s general obligation bond that taxpayers approved of 18 years ago will be retired in September of 2016.

School board chairwoman Joyce Braunagel says the bond was used for a number of building improvements at the Junior and Senior High Schools.

Some of those projects included Cafeteria, Theater, Roof repair, Parking lot and general maintenance repairs and improvements.

School district business manager Linda Heit says the sinking and interest bond will be paid off some two and-a-half years ahead of schedule.
