N.D. (AP) – The 51st North Dakota State Fair begins its nine-day run on Friday at the State Fairgrounds on the east edge of Minot.
The fair will have the usual carnival rides, food vendors, animal shows, 4-H exhibits and musical entertainment. There also will be the unusual – from trained grizzly bears to walleye on a stick.
Grandstand acts this year are highlighted by country superstar Kenny Chesney and rock legend KISS. Other performers include country stars LoCash, Jake Owen, Old Dominion and Billy Currington, along with rockers Fall Out Boy.
The 35th annual North Dakota State Parade is Saturday morning. More than 300,000 people attended last year’s State Fair.
