(NewsDakota.com) After the third day of the 2016 North Dakota Class B Southeast Region Baseball Tournament, there are just four teams left, with the number one seed in the tournament clinching a spot in next week’s State Class B tournament in Carrington.

#2 Enderlin 11 #8 Lidgerwood 1 (4 1/2 Innings)

In the first game of the three Wednesday, the Railcats came out swinging the bats and chased Post 84′ starting pitcher Kellen Jorgensen out of the game after two thirds of an inning. Enderlin scored five of their runs in the first, and batted around, with Jorun Hamre registering two doubles in his first two plate appearances.

Peter Lingren earned the win, allowing three hits and striking out five.

#1 Kindred 10 #3 LaMoure 9

Early on, it appeared LaMoure would roll with a 6-0 lead going into the bottom of the second inning. Kindred rallied with 10 unanswered to take the lead before Post 19 battled back to pull within one in the sixth, but their last real chance came in that inning, as they stranded the tying run at third base.

LaMoure had a solo home run from Anthony Olson in the first inning.

Ethan Lingin was the winning pitcher for Post 117, allowing six hits and striking out eight. Drew Thielges took the loss for Post 19 surrendering nine hits and striking out four.

The middle of the three games played Wednesday saw #7 Ellendale hold off #4 Fairmont-Hankinson 15-14 in eight innings.

Thursday’s play features two games; LaMoure and Ellendale at 4 p.m., followed by Kindred and Enderlin around 6:30. A Kindred win would mean the winner of the 4 p.m. game would play Saturday against Kindred for the Southeast Regional Championship in addition to clinching the other ticket to the State B, while an Enderlin win would mean having Enderlin and the winner of the 4 p.m. game meet Saturday to determine who joins Kindred in Carrington before the Regional Championship round.

Coverage of both games Thursday can be found on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com starting at 3:50.
