N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – “Wings on Wheels” is a group of volunteers all over the U.S. that provide their own time and service to transport shelter animals across the country.
The group was created in South Carolina, but focuses on saving and transporting shelter pets all over. Matt Opsahl, VP of the James River Humane Society, is part of the group. He pointed out that the group organizes and works through Facebook.
Opsahl said each individuals that volunteers is called an “Angel” and each one covers a leg of the transport.
Opsahl reported that he had recently completed several legs for the organization.
The James River Humane Society is located 2 miles East of Jamestown and houses numerous dogs and cats.
