CITY (VCSU) – The NAIA National Office announced today that 12 Valley City State University athletic teams have earned the NAIA Scholar-Team Award.
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
Twelve of Valley City State’s 14 athletic teams received the award. Among North Star Athletic Association teams, VCSU had the highest percentage of its teams earn the honor.
VCSU, University of Jamestown and Waldorf University all had 12 of their teams named NAIA Scholar-Teams, which was the top number in the NSAA.
