N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Officials with Century Link are in the process of determining the extent of damage to an underground fiber cable that was cut around 10 AM Thursday morning.

A construction crew installing a fiber line reportedly cut a CenturyLink line near 27th Avenue NE & 13th Street Northeast near the curve south of the Jamestown Regional Airport. The cut line has caused some services to be affected including calls and internet. Normal long distance for CentruyLink has also been disrupted.

Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist reports that 911 calls work and are being routed through State Radio to the LEC in Jamestown. The cuts are affecting residents in Stutsman, Barnes, LaMoure, and Dickey counties. More will be posted once an update is provided.
