ND – (NewsDakota.com) Healthy Food Ingredients., LLC  of Fargo reached an agreement to purchase Heartland Flax, a flax and flax oil manufacturer based in Valley City.

Heartland President Luther Dietrich will stay as the president of the plant in Valley City. Dietrich says, “we’ll have greater opportunities to provide solutions for multiple ingredient needs and to expand into new markets domestically and internationally.

Healthy Food Ingredients (HFI) president Brad Hennrich says the purchase of Heartland Flax will allow the company to grow in the future. He says no jobs will be cut and the potential for growth is very realistic as the Valley City location will become the company’s flagship manufacturing plant.

Dietrich and Hennrich talked about the acquisition of both companies and the positive affect it will have for the company and HFI employees during an interview with reporter Steve Urness.

Healthy Food Ingredients., LLC is the parent company of SK Food International based in Fargo, North Dakota.

The purchase agreement of Heartland Flax to Healthy Food Ingredients was not disclosed and will remain confidential according to HFI president Brad Hennrich.
