ND – (NewsDakota.com) The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says more than 150 lakes and rivers have been stocked with about 11 million walleye fingerling this summer.
Fisheries production and development supervisor Jerry Weigel says it was made possible by record production of 10.4 million fingerlings at Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery.
Weigel says the Valley City National Fish Hatchery also had a good year, shipping 1.7 million walleye fingerlings.
1.7 million fingerling went to Devils Lake and 1.3 million to Lake Sakakawea.
