N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Created in 1959, the Worlds Largest Buffalo has made its home in Jamestown. But whatever happened to the man behind the buffalo?

The Jamestown Arts Center, along with Mark Strand, will present “Whatever Happened to Elmer Petersen?” Born in 1928, Peterson was responsible for curating and sculpting the large monument.

Mark Strand will be hosting the presentation at the Arts Center and according to Wish, somehow Petersen himself heard about the planned discussion.
