Hoffart, 87, of Jamestown, ND, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Ave Maria Village surrounded by her loving family.

Beulah was born on October 31, 1928, in Ypsilanti, ND to George and Waunita (Madden) Mellum. She obtained her teaching certificate after graduating from Jamestown High School and taught at Mansfield Township and Island Lake School. Beulah met Linus Hoffart in 1950 and they were married on May 5, 1953 at St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown. They started a family on their farm near Eckelson and then moved to Jamestown a few years later.

She was a member of St. James Basilica and was active in St. Bernadette Circle. Beulah was a spunky little lady who lived life to the fullest with her family always surrounding her. Her grandchildren share many fond memories of baking with grandma. She was especially famous for her caramel rolls and opera fudge. Beulah also enjoyed reading, quilting, and sewing. She devoted her life to caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was an extraordinary, faith loving, beautiful woman.

Beulah will be missed by her children, Diana (Robin) Auch, Minot, ND, Donald Hoffart, Aurora, CO, Cheryl (Mark) McPherson, Jamestown, Janice (Terry) Wanzek, Jamestown, Jim Hoffart, Champlin, MN, and Lisa (Kenton) Omvig, Bismarck; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Schlender, Delores (Paul) Orr, Marlys Mellum, and Sharon (Ted) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Elaine Hoffart and Ardis (Duane) Larson; and brother-in-law, Jerry Zaun. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linus Hoffart; infant son; parents, George and Waunita Mellum; sister, Shirley Zaun; and brother, Doug Mellum.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
