N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Principal Mark Wiest will be stepping down as Principal of St. John’s Academy.

Development Coordinator Peggy Etzold stated that Lawrie Paulson was hired on to fill the vacant principal position at the Academy. She stated that they are sad to see Mark stepping down along with the local diocese after their three years of service.

Peggy pointed out that they would have two new priests joining the diocese in Jamestown.

Fr. Keller and Fr. Aerts will also serve outlying parishes. Paulson says he is still new to the school, but has spent extra time learning what duties he needs to get done.

Paulson pointed that he is good friends with Mark Wiest and decided that he would like to apply for his position when he announced his resignation.

Paulson assumes duties as principal of St. John’s Academy today.
