N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Fire Department will look to break last years record of 1,232 pancakes during their 6th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, July 9th.

Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Ruether stated that in their first year, they served nearly 400 people. Last year, they served over 1,200 and would like to serve even more this year.

Pancakes will be served from 7 AM to 12 PM at the Jamestown City Fire Hall at 209 2nd Avenue Northwest. Chief Reuther also pointed out that this would be a good chance for people to stop by and congratulate firefighter Gordy Christianson, who has served 50 years with the department.

Chief Ruether stated that the funds raised from the pancake breakfast will help offset their cost of new leather fire boots for the department. Tickets are $7 for a single ticket or $20 for a family. You can buy them at the Department, from a firefighter or at the door.
