Bosch, age 88, of Enderlin, ND and formerly of Fingal, ND died at Maryhill Manor June 29, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery at Fingal, ND with full military honors.
James David Bosch was born June 30, 1927 at Valley City, ND, the son of John and Helen (Wurzer) Bosch. He grew up in the Fingal and Valley City communities and graduated from Fingal High School. In 1946 he entered military service and served with the Army Air Corps (predecessor of today’s Air Force). He was discharged in 1947 and returned to Valley City where he was employed at the Russell Miller Flour Mill and Leo Lumber. He then moved for a time to Minneapolis and later to California where he did electronic repair work and avionics. He returned to the California desert where he tried his hand at prospecting. He returned to North Dakota but due to health issues he was forced into retirement. He enjoyed target shooting, and with his background in electronics, refurbished items to sell, use, or give away as gifts. As his health continued to decline he became a resident at Maryhill Manor in 2015.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Tabor, Valley City, ND, a brother, Garry Bosch, Minneapolis, MN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
