CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Fireworks regulations have changed in Valley City after a revised city ordinance was approved by the city commission earlier this year.

The days of detonation have been reduced to 5 days in Valley City.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath says fireworks can only be detonated in the city July 1st, 2nd and 3rd from 8am to 11pm. July 4th from 8am to 1am on July 5th. And again on July 5th from 8am to 11pm.

Valley City officials are asking residents to adhere to the rules and have a fun but safe July 4th weekend.
