CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Valley City Administrator David Schelkoph says a repair of a broken pipeline was completed on July 1st. The city had been asking residents to limit their water usage, but with the repair complete, residents resumed normal water usage.
The break was located near the master lift station, near the construction site of the new Valley City Wellness Center.
Schelkoph says raw sewage had been leaking into the Sheyenne River and that the State Health Department has been notified of this situation. The state approved of a temporary exemption until the repair was completed on July 1st.
Schelkoph says the break was reported about 10:30am on July 1st and the repair was completed shortly after 8pm on July 1st.
