(NewsDakota.com) Spencer Gillund had two home runs, and Jorun Hamre pitched a six hitter as the Enderlin Post 221 American Legion baseball team defeated Oakes Post 36 11-0 in six innings at Hendrickson Field Monday night.

The Railcats’ (7-1 Class B Southeast Region) shortstop hit a solo shot off to lead off the fifth and a two run shot in the bottom of the sixth to win the game. Hamre struck out eight in the victory. 

Post 36 (3-6) saw their two game winning streak end, stranded 12 runners on base, and had a two-for-four night from Michael Kelly, who registered two of the team’s six hits. Jordan Cunningham took the loss, lasting just an inning and a third.
