N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russell reports that Dickey County communicators will be in Brown County this weekend to assist with their Ham Radio field day.

Russell reports that field day is a nationwide exercise of the Ham Radio individuals to operate and test all emergency skills and assets in the U.S.

“The Brown County Sheriff’s office will be providing the Command and Communications trailer for this exercise to help us better train the communicators who support the emergency operations for this region of South Dakota and North Dakota.” Russell stated.

The event is free and open to anyone and will be held in Aberdeen, SD at Dakota Electronics.
