N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Board of Realtors has announced local numbers for the month of May.

The board consists of Jamestown, Valley City, Carrington, LaMoure, Edgeley, Ellendale & Medina. According to the board, active residential listings this year are up 24% in May. Sales through May are at 88 compared to 98 one year ago.

Median sales price of properties was $142,000, up from $134,500 in 2015. Property appears to be on market longer from last year as well. The median days on market was 77 days versus 38 in 2015.

“Overall prices remain steady and there is a larger selection of inventory available. Interest rates remain historically low.,” the board reports in a release.

All realtors are members of the National Association of Realtors.
