$500,000 Donation To Barnes County Relay For Life One Of The Largest In Nation

 CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The late Denton Berntson’s estate donated 0,000 to the Barnes County Relay for Life.

Denton Berntson passed away in February. His wife Paulette passed away in 2004 after she lost her battle to breast cancer. After she passed away the family participated in the Barnes County Relay for Life every year.

John W. Hamilton is the Chairmen of the Board for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network board of directors. He said the half-a-million dollar donation is one of the largest donation to an American Cancer Society in the nation.

The donation ceremony was held Friday, June 17th during the Barnes County Relay for Life in Valley City. All the activities will be held on the Barnes County Courthouse step and lawn.
