N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Bismarck woman claims that Jamestown police did not respect her constitutional rights because she is deaf.
Christine Stein of Bismarck has filed a lawsuit against Jamestown, officer Brian Davis, Stutsman County and multiple judicial agencies and their employees. She says it’s because she was wrongfully arrested and then put in solitary confinement overnight. She was also brought before a judge the next day without an interpreter.
A judge eventually dropped all arresting charges. WDAY-TV reports that they have contacted all those involved in the lawsuit, but they all declined to comment. A court date has not yet been set.
