N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota June 14th Primary wrapped up last night and some changes will be seen in the Foster County Commission.

A total of 1,946 votes were cast for the Districts At-Large County Commissioner seat. Roger Gussiaas was the top vote recipient with 588. John W. Murphy received 522 total votes, D. Rose Niles received 305 votes, James Rindy had 251 votes, and Joshua Dreher received 234. Pat Copenhaver won the open commission seat with 805 total votes.

Paul Murphy received a majority of votes for the Foster County State’s Attorney Position with 718 votes.

Foster County voters also approved to have the County Commission be increased from three commissioners to five commissioners with 715 voting in approval and 321 voting in opposition. Voters also voted against having the State’s Attorney be an appointed position.
