CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State University and Stoudt Ross Ford would like to thank all of the supporters of the Drive 4 UR Community event held May 5th at the VCSU Student Center.
Drive 4 UR Community is a Ford Motor Company sponsored test drive event where Ford Motor Company donates $20 per test drive in the driver’s name to the specified charity.
Valley City State University V-500 spokesman Jeremy Wiebe said approximately $3,800 dollars was raised during the May 5 event. He thanked those who came out to support this fund raising effort.
Casey Stoudt, the General Manager for Stoudt Ross Ford explained Drive 4 UR Community is a fund raising event that is 100% community driven and supported. “We supply the vehicles to drive, and can supply drivers for those that would like a ride, but without the amazing support of Valley City, these events would never work.”
Ford Motor Company will donate up to $6,000 to approved charities, at $20 per test drive, that is equal to 300 drives. Stoudt stated, “V-500 really is the winner here and that is what we want. Stoudt Ross Ford receives very little benefit from Drive 4 UR Community, other than getting people into our cars. 100% of the money raised for this event goes back to V-500 scholarships.”
The next Drive 4 UR Community event is scheduled for July 27th 2016. The event will be held on Main Street during Crazy Day’s and the fund raised will be given to Relay for Life.
