N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Unofficial results are in for the 2016 North Dakota Primary in Jamestown and Stutsman County.

The top three vote receivers for the Jamestown City Council seats were Dan Buchanan with 1,406 votes, Steve Brubakken with 1,448 votes and Pam Phillips with 1,146 votes. Jeff Schwind received 810 and Phillip Wallace received 805.

In the Jamestown Public School District, Roger Haut was re-elected with 1,685 votes, Diane Hanson was re-elected with 1,682 votes and Jennifer Schmidt was elected with 1,483 votes. Cyndi Wish received 1,105 votes.

For the two open Stutsman County Commission seats, both Mark Klose and and David Schwartz were re-elected. Klose recieved 2,190 votes and Schwartz received 1,848 votes. Tim Greshick received 1,382 votes and Nellie Degen received 1,113 votes.

Jamestown and Stutsman County residents also made their voices heard on the bid for the Republic Governor spot, with Doug Burgum taking 2,125 total votes unofficially. Wayne Stenehjem received 1,009 total votes.

Voters overwhelmingly voted no to having the State’s Attorney position become an appointed position, with 2,995 voting no and 705 voting yes.

On State Measure One, the hog and dairy farm corporation measure, residents of Stutsman County rejected it, with 2,319 voting in opposition and 667 voting for it.
