Coaches Comments:
“We had a great pitching performance from Sam today.  We wanted him to really concentrating on a few things and he was able to do that, and that seemed to really help him out. He threw strikes and our defense came threw a couple times with some big plays to help him out.”

Game 2 VC lost 10-1
The second game started out the same as the first with Jamestown taking the lead 1-0 after the first inning, but that was the only similar in the second game to the first.  Jamestown would add another run in the 3rd, 7 in the fourth and 1 in the sixth. While Post 60 would come up with their only run in the 3rd.

Coaches Comments:
“This wasn’t our best pitching performance, we gave to many free bases in the game and to Jamestown credit they capitalized on them.”
“It was great to see Nate start to swing the bat better.  He had by far his best day at the plate in the past 2 weeks”

With the split Post 60 record now sits at 3-6 with 1-2 region record.

Next action for VC is Monday as they play host to the Grand Forks Blues for 2 region games starting at 5:30 pm at Charlie Brown Memorial Field in Valley City.
