CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Four candidates are vying for two position up for election on June 14th in Valley City.
Jeff Edwards said he would work to promote the city and support incentives to keep and attract new residents to Valley City.
Mary Lee Nielson said things are running smoothly and she would work to fight for more funding for permanent flood protection. She believes a school resource officer would be beneficial for the school district too.
Mike Bishop said he would work to keep families here and promote job growth in Valley City.
Rick Ross said he would work toward more open government and allow citizens to speak on issues affecting the city. He also advocated the benefits of having a school resource officer.
The four city commission candidates closing remarks were made during the Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce Candidates Forum held last month in Valley City.

The election will be held Tuesday, June 14th in Valley City. For those who have not voted early by mail or absentee there will be one polling place inside the Barnes County Courthouse from 7am to 7pm in Valley City.
