(NewsDakota.com) The 45th annual Oakes Irrigation Days commences Thursday and runs thru Sunday, June 12.

Thursday features a picnic and karaoke contest at Hockenberry Park and the opening of the Thomas Brothers Carnival.

On Friday, the parade is set for 6 p.m., and a street dance with the band “The Woofers” takes placed from 9:30 to 1:30 a.m.

Saturday has the Sue McClean 5K Fun/Run Walk at 8:30, along with a community-wide rummage sale, a three person golf scramble, a rodeo, and another street dance; featuring “Silverado”.

Sunday’s featured events include a demolition derby and a pie and ice cream social.
