N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Starting Tuesday, all North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers and inspectors began focusing on enhancing commercial motor vehicle safety on all North Dakota roads.
Specially-trained troopers and inspectors will be conducting standardized inspection procedures on both the vehicle and driver in roadside inspections. Many inspections will be a 37-step procedure, known as the North American Standard Level I Inspection.
June 7th through the 9th is the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s 29th annual International Roadcheck. This year’s focus is tire safety. That includes tread depth, tire pressure, and examining the overall condition.
Violations from the safety blitz will be posted after its completion.
