ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi Liner Girls defeated Fargo Shanley 8 to 2 and took the 3rd place trophy home during the North Dakota Class A Girls Fast Pitch Softball tournament on Saturday, June 4th.

Earlier in the day, The West Fargo Packers defeated the Hi Liners 6 to 1 in the semifinal round of the tournament held at Lyle “Trapper” Lawrence Softball complex in Jamestown. 

The softball tournament had to be suspended on Friday, June 3rd due to thunderstorms that hit the Jamestown area. The second and three rounds had to be played in one day because of the rain postponement.
