N.D. (AP) – Authorities say two people from Missouri are dead after a two-vehicle crash in southeastern North Dakota, just north of the border with South Dakota.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a news release that the crash happened Friday afternoon on Interstate 29 a mile north of the South Dakota border. The release says a Dodge Ram struck a Kia Sportage on the driver’s door.
The Highway Patrol says the Sportage’s driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol says the driver was a 66-year-old woman and the passenger was a 68-year-old man, both from St. Peters, Missouri.
According to the Highway Patrol, the Ram’s driver was taken to a hospital and released a short time later. The patrol says the crash remains under investigation.
