N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Fire Department and Montana-Dakota Utilities responded to a natural gas line break at around 11:15 AM Thursday morning.

Construction crews ruptured the line on 4th Street Northwest. Two fire units and six firefighters stay on the scene while MDU crews shut off service to roughly 20 homes. No injuries were reported and the scene was cleared by noon.

MDU reports that restoration service happened one-by-one on each home affected. Door hangers were placed on homes that had no one home, informing the resident that gas service would remain off until technicians could restore their gas service safely.
