N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range has been making strides in creating a new gun range, but the one hiccup has been finding land to build the project.
According to Chairperson Curt Kaseman, the group is looking to acquire land from the State Hospital. According to Kaseman, the land is not owned by the hospital.
“The land is managed by the State Hospital. It is owned by the North Dakota land trust. But, don’t quote me on it. I have a lot of departments working on this to crack the code.” Kaseman stated.
The range is going to be used by numerous departments including law enforcement agencies. There will be indoor and outdoor facilities and there will be free classes to the public for safe gun handling.
The first annual meeting is scheduled for June 6th at 7 PM at the KC Hall in Jamestown and Kaseman points out that he will hopefully have more information on the land acquisition.
The meeting is free and open to the public and for those who would also like to become part of the Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range.
