CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State University alum Derek Elliott is tearing up the German Football League 2 through his first three games this season.
Elliott – who played football for VCSU from 2009 to 2013 – is averaging 296 all-purpose yards per game for the Potsdam Royals. Potsdam is a member of the German Football League 2, which is the second tier of American football in Germany.

After leading Valley City High School to a second place finish in North Dakota AA football during his senior season, Elliott chose to continue his football career at VCSU.
At Valley City State, Elliott rewrote the record books and holds 15 school records including rushing yards and rushing touchdowns for a single game, a single season and a career.
Elliott signed this spring to play professionally for the Potsdam Royals Football Club in Germany. Potsdam is a member of the German Football League 2, which is the second tier of American football in Germany. Potsdam is scheduled to play a 14-game season, which will conclude in September.
