Weber, age 71, of Spiritwood, ND, died Monday, May 30th at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown, ND. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday, June 6th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn, ND. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held 7:00 PM Sunday evening at the church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery near Sanborn, ND.
Wallace Wayne Weber, the son of Jacob and Margaret (Hoffart) Weber, was born April 20, 1945 in Valley City, ND. Wallace grew up and attended school in the Eckelson, ND area. He graduated from Eckelson High School in 1963. After receiving his education he enlisted in the ND Army National Guard and served until he was honorably discharged. After his discharge, Wallace began working for Rays Tow Bar Service in Fargo, ND and later drove for KW McKee trucking in Minneapolis for many years. In 1996, he returned to the Eckelson, ND area where he worked for Bob Klein doing farm work until his retirement. Wallace liked to go fishing, watching various sporting events and was a very proud Green Bay Packer fan. Wallace also loved to play cards with family and nieces and nephews. Wallace was a lifetime member of the Sanborn/Eckelson American Legion Post #202 and also a lifetime member of the Sanborn Knights of Columbus Council #5932.
Wallace is survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary (Gary) Gover, LaGrande, OR, Raymond (Joan) Weber, Rapid City, ND, Ramona (Terry) Gruchalla, Jamestown, ND, and John Weber and Joe Weber, both Spiritwood, ND; 8 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; and 9 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
