(NewsDakota.com) The Enderin Post 221 American Legion baseball team started the 2016 season on the right foot with a 6-4 road victory at Cummings Field against Oakes Post 36 Tuesday evening.
The Railcats (1-0 Class B Southeast Region) took away a 4-4 tie int the sixth inning with a run scored with two out, and added an insurance run in the seventh on an RBI single by Dillan Bartholomay, scoring Spencer Gillund. Gillund earned a two inning save, with the win going to Adam Stenson, who struck out nine.
Post 36 (0-1) had doubles from Michael Kelly and Kollen Knutson in the defeat, and Matt Kuipers scored two runs. Kelly took the loss, going the final four innings.
