(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High baseball team was held to just one hit in their 7-0 loss to Bismarck High in the opening round of the West Region tournament. Mason Fode was brilliant in a game that started as a pitchers duel and ended up in a one-sided affair.
Nolan Kratz started and whizzed through four innings before he ran into trouble in the fifth. Prior to that he had given up just one hit and one run, but the Demons knocked him out putting up a five-spot in the fifth.
Jamestown’s only hit came in the top of the first when Dawson Douty singled through the left side.
The Jays will play the loser of Mandan and Dickinson at 11am on Friday morning.
