Brendmoen, age 86, of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Valley City, ND, died Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown under Hospice of the Red River Valley care surrounded by her loving family.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home Chapel in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and one hour before the service on Thursday afternoon all at the funeral home.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery in Valley City.

Lois Eileen Hovde, the daughter of Germund and Clara (Anderson) Hovde, was born May 11, 1930 in Nome, ND.  Lois grew up and attended school in Nome.  On January 18, 1946 she married Gordon Brendmoen in Moorhead, MN.  The couple had four children, Jerry Gene, James Gordon, Jr., Sharon Kay and Diana Lynn.  Lois was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family.  Lois enjoyed playing cards, doing cryptograms, puzzles and BINGO.  Lois also liked crochet and to paint.  Her greatest joy in life was having her family close.  She spent most days enjoying the company of her family.  He granddaughter Sheri spent several years taking care of her.  She enjoyed the time she lived at Ave Maria Village making friends with the residence and staff.

Lois is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Mooridian, Valley City, ND and Diana (Ted) Steckler, Surprise, AZ; her grandchildren, Sheri (Robert) McMahon, Stephanie Jo (Steven) Johnson, Stacy Lynn Goeller, Cole Mooridian, Bo James Beaudin, Rod Mooridian and Sarah Mooridian; great-grandchildren, Ashley Mooridian, Jordan Grover, Talia (Nathan) Erbstoesser, Allison Johnson, Abbee-jo (Austin) McCardle, Alex Mooridian, Shane Johnson, Lexi Welken and Shae Lynn Johnson; great-great grandchildren; Ayden Mooridian, Aubrey and Brycen Erbstoesser, Autumn Mooridian and Averie McCardle;  one brother, Gene (Marla) Hovde, Woodbury, MN; and one sister, Joan Trelstad, Valley City, ND.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, one sister and her beloved dog, Charley.
