CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Your chance to hear Valley City commission candidates before you vote will be held on Thursday May 19th during a forum in the Hi Liner Activity Center Lobby at 7:00 pm. The public is encouraged to attend.
The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce would like to remind the public about some of the changes in the June 14th election.
Applications for those who wish to voter early have been mailed out to all active voters in Barnes County.
Voters may complete and sign the application, and return it to the Barnes County Auditor’s Office. When the application is received in the Auditor’s Office, receipt of the application will be logged into the Central Voter File, and the appropriate ballot will be mailed to the voter. It’s essentially the same as absentee voting.
On election day, June 14th there will be one polling place in Barnes County from 7:00am to 7pm inside the Courthouse.
The Valley City Commission candidates include Mike Bishop, Rick Ross, Jeff Edwards and Mary Lee Nielson, they have been invited to attend the forum sponsored by Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce.
