EDGELEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – LaMoure County Relay for Life will be honoring cancer survivors at a dinner set for next month.

The 4th Annual LaMoure County Relay for Life Cancer Survivor Dinner is set for 6:00 PM Thursday, June 2nd at the Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley. All survivors and their caregivers are welcome to attended at no charge if they RSVP before May 23rd.

“Survivors are the reason we celebrate and relay,” as reported by Survivor Chair, Crystal Moser. “Anyone who has ever heard the words ‘You have cancer’ is a survivor.”

Relay for Life is a movement that unites people in communities all over the world to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

LaMoure County’s Relay for Life is set for June 10th. Last year, the county raised around $60,000 for the American Cancer Society.

“A cancer survivor’s strength and courage help the community see that cancer survivorship is real. They also see that our efforts are making progress in the fight against cancer,” Moser reports.

RSVP for the dinner by May 23rd by contacting Crystal Moser at rcmt@drtel.net or by calling 701-320-7267.
