(NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown baseball team wasted little time flexing their offensive muscles in the North Star Tournament by whipping Viterbo 15-2. The Jimmies scored at least one run in every inning except one and hit four home runs.

Dylan Deavy, making the start on his birthday, was nearly as dominate this time around as he was back on April 18th when he shutout the V-Hawks. Deavy struck out eight and gave up two earned runs.

Tyler Ludlow and Tyler Wiwchar helped start the rout in the third inning when they both homered and expanded a 2-1 lead to 5-1. Landon Uetz, who had three hits, added a two-run bomb in the fourth. Jamestown exploded for eight runs in that inning.

Uetz finished with five RBIs, four of which came in the big inning.

Jamestown will play Mayville State at 3pm on Saturday. The Comets scored 19 runs in a 19-2 win over Dakota State. Viterbo and Dakota State play the day’s first game at 12pm.
