CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The City Attorney of Valley City Russ Myhre supports the idea of installing panic buttons in city hall following concerns from city employees who have been threatened by local citizens.
City Administrator David Schelkoph proposed the idea and says the buttons will cost $800 apiece. He’d like to install five of them pending city commission approval.
Once the button is pushed a law enforcement officer would respond to the call at city hall from an employee who may be threatened by another citizen.
