N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Nearly 160 representatives of law enforcement, transportation, engineering, public health and other safety agencies attended the annual Traffic Safety Partner Summit in Bismarck.
The summit also included an awards ceremony for those who showed outstanding service and dedication to accomplishing the overall goal of reducing crashes resulting in fatal and serious injuries in North Dakota. Interim US Attorney Chris Myers presented awards in five separate categories.
Stutsman County Sergeant Damian Hoyt and the rest of the Stutsman County Deputies were recognized with the Traffic Safety Honor Roll Award. The award recognizes advocates of traffic safety and those who promote traffic safety messages to their peers through their own initiatives.
Rhonda Saxberg with the North Dakota Highway Patrol out of Jamestown was also awarded during the summit. Saxberg received the Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Award for her commitment to promoting Child Passenger Safety in the community.
