N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – 60 year-old Dennis Schneider was injured when his wheelchair became stuck in the rails of a crossing in Jamestown last Thursday. And now according to officials with Sanford Medical Center, his condition has been upgraded.

Schneider was rushed to the JRMC with numerous injuries. He was later airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. Officials on Friday stated that Schneider was in stable, but critical condition. He has now been upgraded to serious condition.

Jamestown Police investigations have shown that Schneider was crossing the rails in the south driving lane when his wheel became caught. He was then hit by a slow moving train. The case remains under investigation.
