CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The trap team shot for the third time on Sunday, April 17th. The team shot considerably better with a cool day but a lot less wind. This Sunday was our reserve week which we can use these scores if we happen to get bad weather and can’t shoot during a week.
The participants are having a blast and I can see how much improvement is happening even by just practicing shooting. Quite a few members of the trap team are also shooting on Tuesdays with the junior program at the trap range. A junior membership is $10 and each Tuesday the junior can shoot 2 rounds and gets 2 boxes of shells for those two rounds free with their $10 membership.
Thanks to the Barnes County Wildlife Club who makes a donation to the Valley City trap Club so they can have a junior program to make trap shooting affordable for parents and juniors and encourage them to shoot.
This week we will be beginning our competition weeks. Valley City Trap team is in Conference #3, which includes Grand Forks Red River, Grand Forks Central, Fargo North, and West Fargo. There are 4 conferences in ND and our conference is the 3rd largest based on the number of participants our team has. There is one conference larger than the one Valley City is in. Here are the scores from the reserve week.
