In doubles, Abby and Rachel played the #5 finishing doubles team from last years EDC tournament and pushed them. Abby and Rachel are figuring out how to work together and how to construct and win doubles points. They grew stronger as the match wore on.

Breanna and Cali claim they are singles players – but they have now earned doubles back-to-back victories over the top two teams in the EDC. They are pretty good developing doubles players, even if they don’t want to admit it! Both played very well in singles – both learning as they go and not afraid to try new things.

Maia had the task of playing the odds on favorite to win the state title this year.  That is two really tough opponents in two matches.

Reagan played the best singles match of her high school tennis career today. Her belief, shot selection, patience, and tempo were amazing. She embodied the pillars of 100% effort, positive attitude, and sportsmanship.  Reagan beat the third place finisher from last year’s state tournament 6-1, 6-1.

Next match is Tuesday at home versus Wahpeton.
