(NewsDakota.com) On Thursday afternoon, The Cardinals were at home for the first time in the 2016 season and they pick up their fifth victory overall as they defeat the Blacksox of Sheyenne/New Rockford 8-4. The Cards are now 5-1 and 3-0 in Region 3, SNR drops to 2-1 both in Region 3 and overall.
Braxton Hewitt was the winning pitcher, working five innings with four hits, four strikeouts and two earned runs. Ben McKay took the loss. Hewitt was 2-for-2 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. Jayden Rosenau had a nice afternoon as well, he had two hits and two runs batted in.
