N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp, a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, announced two federal grant awards totaling $132,000 in North Dakota.
The two federal grants will help support regional development councils as they put together economic blueprints that work with both the public and private sectors. South Central Dakota Regional Council in Jamestown will receive $66,000 and Tri-County Regional Development Council in Williston will receive $66,000.
“As our state’s youth stay in North Dakota to live, work, and raise their families, we need to have the economic growth and a high quality of life that they expect,” said Heitkamp. “This federal funding will provide our regional development councils with needed resources to invest in their communities’ economic development to help them grow and thrive.”
The funds are made available through the Economic Development Administration, a bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
