CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) A group of people held a petition signing rally to support ending the prohibition of medical marijuana yesterday in Valley City.
Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin says the rally was peaceful and it wrapped up about 7:30pm last night.
More than 13,000 signatures are needed to put the initiated measure on the November ballot.
If the petition is accepted and the voters approve it in November, the initiative would make it legal for North Dakotan’s to possess up to three ounces of marijuana for medical purposes with a doctor prescription.
