(NewsDakota.com) An Oakes man’s preliminary hearing to face charges from an alleged December rape has now been delayed for a third time.
Court records indicate the preliminary hearing for 22 year old Allec Anderson on Tuesday was cancelled, and has now been rescheduled for May 17. In addition, a new presiding judge has been named as John Greenwood is listed, replacing Daniel Narum, who was originally named as the presiding judge in the first two scheduled hearings. The original preliminary date was back in mid-January, and the first rescheduled date was in mid-February.
Anderson faces a Class AA Felony charge of Gross Sexual Imposition in addition to a Class C Felony charge of Terrorizing and a Class B Felony charge of Aggravated Assault related to an alleged rape of a 37 year old woman. A complaint filed in Dickey County District Court alleges Anderson drugged, raped and choked the woman on December 12 or 13, and then threatened to kill her if she went to police.
