CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners softball team picked up their third Eastern Dakota Conference win on Thursday with a 10-0 defeat of Fargo South in five innings. 

Tarryn Justesen threw a complete game no hitter and set the Hi-Liner school record with 22 career wins, surpassing Paige Brandvold. 

The only South (0-2 overall, 0-2 EDC) base runner was the first batter of the game that Justesen walked on 5 pitches, but from there she found her groove, striking out the side. 

Justesen threw 66 pitches, while striking out 9 Bruins batters in the game. 

The Hi-Liners (4-0 overall, 3-0 EDC) offense was led by Jayda Haugen with 4 RBI’s in the game. 

Valley City travels to West Fargo tomorrow and Saturday for a Crossover Tournament. They’ll play Bismarck Legacy, Dickinson and Bismarck High.
