(NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie baseball team keeps winning. A mid-week non-conference game with Northern State didn’t slow the momentum as Jamestown won 15-5 in eight innings via the 10-run rule.

After a loss in the final game of their weekend series with Dickinson State, the Jimmies came out swinging scoring five runs in the first inning and didn’t look back. Cody Vogler followed up a pair of sacrifice flies with a two-run homer.

Vogler homered again in the third inning off Marcus Manderbach. Manderbach’s first pitch and the last pitch of the game were both hit over the wall by Vogler.

Landon Uetz and Vince Sablan had three hits apiece. Both teams used eight pitchers in the game. Cade Campbell got the win for the Jimmies with two nearly perfect innings of relief.

Jamestown is now 38-3 and ranked No. 9 in the NAIA Top-25. They host Viterbo for four games this weekend.
